• Nekrolog. The very large attendance for his funeral and the profusion of floral tributes, showed the high esteem in which Mr. Ibsen was regarded by all. Besides neighbors and friends, many relatives from Kearney county also attended the services. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family in their loss of a dear one. ___________________________________

Enor A. Ibsen was born at Thisted, Jutland, Denmark, April 20. 1870, and died in a hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska, April 20 1939, at the age of 69 years.
At the age of nine years he came to America with his parents, Lars and Dorthea Ibsen, and they established their home on a farm in Kearney county, Nebraska. He made his home there until he was united in marriage to Anna Nielsen of Dannebrog in 1897. To this union were born nine children, three of whom died in infancy. He and his wife made their home on a farm near Dannebrog until they moved to Grand Island last fall.
Mr. Ibsen was one of the first members of the Dry Creek Lutheran church and continued as a faithful and active member of the congregation until his death. He was a kind and loving husband and father.
Surviving him besides his beloved wife are four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Andersen, Grand Island; Mrs. Dora Cox, Kearney; Mrs. Marian Rudolph, Fremont, and Mrs. Nora Kruse, Boelus; two sons, Lawrence, Boelus and Niels, Grand Island; fifteen grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. M.C. Jensen, Minden and Mrs. C.M. Christensen, Minden; and three brothers, Andrew Ibsen, Central City; Chris Ibsen, Holdredge, and John Ibsen, Upland. One sister, Mrs. J.O. Nekrolog for Anna: Mrs. Anna Ibsen, who lived with a daughter, Mrs. Nora Kruse at Route 6, Box 413, Port Orchard, Wash., died Jan 7 at the Bremerton Convalescent Center at the age of 91 years, 6 months, and 19 days.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Port Orchard, where services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Mrs. Ibsen was born June 19, 1876 at Dannebrog to Niels and Mariane Enevoldsen and grew up there. She was married to Enor A. Ibsen, March 12, 1897 at Dannebrog and the couple lived on a farm in that area. After Mr. Ibsen's death in 1937 she went to live with her daughter Marian and George Rudolph in Fremont. In 1957 she went to live in Port Orchard.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence of Fremont and Niels of Port Orchard, Wash.; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Andersen, Mrs. Dora Cox and Mrs. Nora Kruse of Port Orchard and Mrs. Marian Rudolph, Fremont; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
